Smart Welcomes was born out of a simple idea: landlords and property owners deserve a trusted partner who cares about their homes as much as guests care about their experience.

 

We didn’t start as marketers or consultants—we started in hospitality. For years, we’ve been running serviced apartments, guesthouses, and pop-up hotels across Plymouth via our sister company Pureserviced . We’ve met the challenges first-hand - with over 100,000 guests coming through our doors in this period, we have been managing cleaners, handling late-night guest calls, fixing boilers, filling calendars, and watching costs rise while commissions to booking platforms eat away at profits.

 

We realised something important: most landlords and letting agents don’t want to deal with all that. What they want is peace of mind, reliable income, and the confidence their property is in good hands.

 

That’s why we created Smart Welcomes.

Behind Smart Welcomes is a team of real people - hospitality professionals, property managers, housekeepers, and problem-solvers - led by a founder who spent nearly three decades in banking before moving into property and hospitality. That mix of financial rigour and hands-on experience means we don’t just make things look good on paper - we make them work in practice.

 

We’re based in the South West, but our mindset is global. We use smart tools, AI-driven pricing, and years of on-the-ground experience to make short-term rentals profitable, sustainable, and hassle-free.
